Saw this neat collab between Ghostbusters and A Bathing Ape on SneakerManiac. This post is dedicated to my sis ‘cos she likes Bape shoes, otherwise known as Bapestas. Personally, I don’t find Bape’s shoe designs to be really that interesting, but I did like the simple, clean illustrations and the packaging done for this collab. Besides sneakers and tees, this collab also includes mugs (of all things!). Click here and here for more info and pictures.
A Bathing Ape, or Bape for short, is Japanese clothing label that specializes in urban street wear. It was founded in 1993 by Tomoaki “Nigo” Nagao.
Nigo, which means “number two” in Japanese, was influenced by Star Wars and Planet of Apes when he was growing up – note the name of his brand! Not only is Nigo the founder and owner of Bape, but he’s also co-owner and head designer of Pharrell William’s clothing line, Billionaire Boys Club.

i’ve never watched ghostbusters…except for the like 10 minutes cordell played on the last day of school…which doesn’t count XD

I would get the shoes just for the box alone! Freakin’ awesome. Bape has never been my style but this is pretty cool.
